Deadline to file ITR

The last date for filing salaried income tax returns (ITR-1 and ITR-2) for salaried and unaudited taxpayers is July 31. That means, salaried employees and those who have income from capital gains, house property or other non-business income which does not require audit, will have to fill ITR-1 and ITR-2 forms.

HDFC credit card rules will change

The second quarter of the new financial year is starting from 1st July. On this occasion, HDFC Bank is going to make some changes in the rules of its Regalia Gold and Diners Club Privilege credit cards. Apart from some changes already implemented, new rules related to airport lounge access will be applicable from July 1, 2026. Possible changes in prices of LPG, CNG and PNG

Like the first date of every month, on July 1 too, oil marketing companies (OMCs) will review the prices of LPG cylinders, CNG and PNG. During this period, changes may be seen in the prices of domestic and commercial cylinders. Besides, new rates will also be issued for air turbine fuel, which will have a big impact on air ticket prices.

PF can be withdrawn through UPI

From July 1, withdrawing PF through UPI will be as easy as withdrawing cash from ATM. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is expected to launch its new digital platform EPFO ​​3.0 in July. With the launch of this facility, EPFO ​​subscribers will be able to withdraw their PF money through UPI. After the implementation of the new system, it will not take a few days but a few minutes to withdraw PF money.

The Ministry of External Affairs has made a huge increase in passport fees after more than a decade. Under the new rules effective from July 1, the fee for a 36-page new or re-issue passport will increase from Rs 1500 to Rs 2500. That means a direct increase of Rs 1000 has been made. At the same time, for immediate service, now you will have to pay Rs 5000 instead of earlier Rs 3500. The fee for 60-page jumbo passport will also be increased to Rs 6000.

From July 1, you will have to pay double fine for traveling without ticket. Under the new rules, the amount of fine is being increased from Rs 250 to Rs 500. Also, from now on, if any man is found traveling in a women’s coach, he can be fined up to Rs 2500.

Giving great relief to the citizens, UIADAI has made Aadhaar update free for the next six months from July 1. Earlier, to change name, address, date of birth, mobile number and email in Aadhaar, one had to pay Rs 75.
