Who is Prashant Veer?
Prashant Veer was born on November 20, 2005 in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. Prashant bowls left-handed off-spin and also bats well. He got his first recognition in the UP T20 League, where he performed strongly for Noida Super Kings. Prashant also showed good all-round performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
While playing for UP, this 20 year old young cricketer took 9 wickets in 7 matches and also scored 112 runs at a stormy strike rate of 170. He is also being called the new ‘Ravindra Jadeja’ of Chennai Super Kings, because along with batting, he also bowls excellent left-arm off spin.
Prashant Veer’s career
20-year-old Prashant Veer made his domestic debut for Uttar Pradesh in October last year. Till now, he has taken 9 wickets and also scored 112 runs in 9 T20 matches. He has also gained experience of 8 List-A matches in which he has 10 wickets and 133 runs in his name. He got the IPL contract on the basis of his good performance in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
He has also made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh, but his red ball figures have not been very good. He has 2 wickets to his name in 4 first-class innings and has failed to perform effectively with the bat.
