On the occasion of the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, referring to the human cost of the war, remembered the 707 Ukrainian innocent children who became victims of this war. Zelensky said that Russia should be held accountable for these crimes.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on the social media platform ‘X’ post, ‘June 4 is celebrated as the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression. It is a day to honor children who have been affected by war and violence. At least 707 Ukrainian children have died since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Behind every number is the story of a child, a future that was snatched away from them. Russia must be held accountable for these crimes.
Zelensky said that despite pressure and threats from Russia, the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting was successfully held in Kiev. Representatives of all allied countries were present in the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting. He told that in this meeting the allied countries have agreed to provide more military assistance to Ukraine and take new steps to strengthen missile defense capabilities.

Zalensky said in the ‘X’ post, ‘Representatives of all allied countries were present at the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting in Ukraine. This meeting took place at a time when Russia tried to keep our partner countries away from Ukraine and intimidate their embassies. Its result came in the form of a very symbolic meeting held in Kiev. Its main message was very clear, Ukraine should get more support, especially in the area of anti-ballistic missile defense capabilities.
Zalensky said that our partners have decided to make new contributions to the ‘Pearl’ initiative, which will begin meeting in June. At the same time, we are also making every possible effort to rapidly develop Europe’s own ballistic missile defense capabilities.
