Former President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Inderjit Singh Bindra (IS Bindra Death News) died on Sunday. International Cricket Council Chairman Jay Shah shared this sad news through his social media account. Bindra left this world at the age of 84, his last rites will be performed at Lodhi crematorium on Monday afternoon.
ICC Chairman Jay Shah shared an emotional post on social media and wrote, “Deepest condolences on the demise of Indian cricket administration legend and former BCCI president IS Bindra. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Om Shanti.”

It is being told that Bindra’s health started deteriorating after having lunch. He died at around 6:30 in the evening.
IS Bindra remained the President of BCCI from 1993-1996. Before that, Bindra also held the post of President of Punjab Cricket Association from 1978-2014. In 2015, the PCA Stadium in Mohali was renamed as IS Bindra Stadium to honor his services to cricket administration.
It is believed that Bindra and another former BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya played a very important role in India getting the hosting of the 1987 World Cup.
