United States of America (USA) has announced its 15-member squad for the 2026 T20 World Cup. USA team includes 9 Indian players. Shubham Ranjane, who has played for Mumbai, is also ready to debut for USA. Sri Lanka’s Shehan Jayasuriya has also been included in the T20 World Cup team by USA. US has been placed in Group A in the 2026 T20 World Cup. Pakistan, Namibia, Netherlands and India are also in this group. USA has organized a long training camp in Sri Lanka to prepare for the T20 World Cup. Whereas in the T20 World Cup, USA will play its first match against India in Mumbai. After this, it will face Pakistan on 10th February. Then on February 13 the USA team will face Netherlands and on February 15 the USA team will face Namibia.
The command of the USA team for the T20 World Cup has been handed over to India’s Monank Patel. Whereas Shubham Ranjane would like to debut in T20 International after playing four ODI matches for USA. Apart from them, Mohammad Mohsin and Shehan Jayasuriya would like to make their international debut for USA. USA is ready to participate in the T20 World Cup for the second time. In the year 2024, this team had created a big upset by defeating 2009 champion Pakistan.
There are a total of 9 Indian players in the USA team. This includes Monank Patel, Jessie Singh, Milind Kumar, Sanjay Krishnamurthy, Harmeet Singh, Saurabh Netrawalkar, Saiteja Mukkamala, Nostush Kenji and Shubham Ranjane. Whereas Ali Khan, Mohammad Mohsin and Shayan Jahangir are of Pakistani origin. Shehan Jayasuriya has played international cricket for Sri Lanka, but now he will be seen in the USA jersey. South Africa’s Andries Gaus is the most senior player of the team.
