WPL 2026 Eliminator Match Result: In the eliminator match of Women’s Premier League 2026, Delhi Capitals defeated Gujarat Giants by 7 wickets. In this eliminator match played in Vadodara, Gujarat team batted first and scored 168 runs. In reply, Delhi batsmen entered the final by winning the match with 26 balls remaining. Now Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore will clash in the final match (WPL Final 2026 Teams).
Delhi Capitals is the first team in WPL history, which has reached the finals four times so far. Although she has not been able to become champion even once. This time the Delhi team has achieved this feat under the captaincy of Jemimah Rodrigues. In the eliminator match, Captain Rodrigues made a valuable contribution to the team’s victory by playing an inning of 41 runs in 23 balls.
Delhi’s easy victory
Beth Mooney played an inning of 62 runs in 51 balls for Gujarat Giants. Apart from him, Georgia Wareham contributed 35 runs. In the last overs, Kashvi Gautam played a cameo inning of 18 runs in 10 balls, but despite all this, Gujarat team could score only 168 runs.
In reply, Lizelle Lee and Shefali Verma gave a good and bright start to the Delhi team. Together, both of them scored 89 runs in just 7 overs and laid the foundation of Delhi Capitals’ victory. Lee and Verma lost their wickets in just 3 days. After that, Laura Woolworth and captain Jemimah Rodrigues took the responsibility and made a partnership of 68 runs and almost ensured Delhi’s victory.
Rodrigues was out after scoring 41 runs, but Woolworth returned unbeaten after scoring 32 runs. Now on February 5, Delhi Capitals will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final of WPL 2026.
