RRB JE 2026: New dates for RRB JE exam 2026 released, know what is important for the candidates?

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the new dates for RRB JE Exam 2026. Along with this, Exam City Information Slip has also been issued for the computer based examination. Students who are going to appear in this examination can check the new date and exam city information by visiting the official website of their regional RRB.

According to the board, the computer based examination of RRB JE will be conducted on 19, 20 and 25 February 2026. In such a situation, students have been advised to complete their preparation on time and keep the necessary documents ready in advance.

RRB JE exam is conducted for technical posts, hence study and preparation have special importance in it. Students should complete the revision of their subjects before time. After the announcement of exam dates, there is less time left, hence regular study and practice is necessary. It will be beneficial to revisit the syllabus and old question papers before the exam.

  • Click on the link of RRB JE Exam City Information Slip on the home page.
  • A new page will open, where you will have to fill your login details.
  • Click on submit button.
  • Your exam city slip will appear on the screen.
  • Download it and take a print out for future.

Aadhaar based biometric verification mandatory

RRB has made it clear that Aadhaar based biometric verification will be done before entering the examination centre. Therefore, it will be mandatory for students to bring their original Aadhaar card or printed copy of verified Aadhaar. Without Aadhaar verification, entry into the examination center will not be allowed.

Students who have not yet completed the Aadhaar verification process are advised to visit rrbapply.gov.in and login with their details and complete the process beforehand. It is important to do this work on time to avoid any problem on the exam day.

Students benefit from increased vacancies

The number of posts has also been increased in this recruitment process. Earlier a total of 2,569 posts were to be filled, but now this number has been increased to 2,585. This will give job opportunities to more students. The maximum increase has happened in Chennai and Jammu-Srinagar region. Out of total posts, 169 posts have been earmarked for RRB Chennai and 95 posts have been earmarked for RRB Jammu-Srinagar. Due to increase in the number of posts, enthusiasm is being seen among the students.
