Posting on Twitter, Siddaramaiah said, ‘We should have been proud that an MP from Karnataka has become the education minister of the country, but instead PM Narendra Modi has appointed Pralhad Joshi. He is an MP who defended those accused of raping a woman. Kannada people are embarrassed by this.

Siddaramaiah said, if Prime Minister Narendra Modi is at all concerned about teachers and students, then Pralhad Joshi should be immediately removed from the Education Ministry. This important responsibility should be given to a person who is really qualified.
