2- When Rishabh Pant is made vice-captain
Chief selector Ajit Agarkar said, “Rishabh Pant is the vice -captain of the Test team. He is one of our best batsmen. Always understands the keeper game well. That is why he has been made the vice -captain of Shubman Gill.”
3- Why Shami was not chosen
Regarding fast bowler Mohammed Shami, he said, “His charge is not as much as it should be. We expected it will be available, but it is unfortunate. At the moment he is not fully fit.”
4- Why did Jaspreet Bumrah not get the captaincy?
Agarkar said, “I don’t think it is available for all five Test matches. Physio and doctors have told us. There is no need to say how important it is for us.
