US President Donald Trump announced on Friday (August 22, 2025) that Sergio Gor, born in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and currently Principal of White House, would be appointed as the new Ambassador of India.
Praising Gore on social media, Trump wrote- ‘For the most populous region of the world, I need to be a person that I can fully trust. Sergio has been a close friend of my many years and he will prove to be a brilliant ambassador.
Sergio Gore will be the youngest ambassador
Sergio Gore is 39 years old. He will be the youngest US ambassador to be appointed in India. He will replace Democratic leader Eric Garccy, who returned to California after Biden administration. If confirmed from the Senate, Gore will be an ambassador in India as well as special envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs. The region includes countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh, where the US does not yet have full -time ambassador.
Trump’s many tasks handle gore
The White House was working as the director of the Presidential Personal Office for Gore Trump. According to Trump, Gore admitted about 4,000 MAGA (America First) supporters to various departments. He was part of Trump’s presidential election campaign team and Super PAC (Political Action Committee), which supported the “Make America Great Again” movement. In June 2025, Alan Musk had called Sergio Gore ‘SNAKE’ in a post on social media platform x. The comment came after a report by the New York Post, claiming that Gore did not complete the documents required for his permanent security approval. At that time Gor White House was the director of the Presidential Personal Office and was overseeing the background check of thousands of executive wing employees.

Sergio Gore has not been having any direct connection or work with India so far. He was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, when he was part of the Soviet Union. In 1999, at the age of 12, he moved to America with his family. His father Yuri Gorokhowski was an aviation engineer working on the design of Soviet military aircraft.
