In fact, the traders of Gilgit Baltistan were sitting on the Karkom highway for 51 days, protesting the dual policies against Gilgit-Baltistan of Kashmir (POK) occupied by the government of Pakistan, but on Monday (September 8, 2025), he also blocked the Khujreb pass. Because of this, Chinese citizens were able to reach the immigration of the Sost border on the China-POK border and for two days more than 100 citizens of China and other countries were stranded. More than 80 Chinese citizens were trapped on Khujreb pass
Since 22 May, traders from Gilgit Baltistan province have been sitting on a dharna against the dual policy against the government of Pakistan against the government of Pakistan and Gilgit Baltistan under the banner of Pak-China Traders Action Committee (TAC). They allege that the government of Pakistan collects more taxes from the traders of Gilgit Baltistan province than other areas of Pakistan and does not allow their belongings to come from the port.
