Pakistan has defeated UAE by 41 runs. With this victory, the Pak team has confirmed a place in the Asia Cup Super-4 (ASIA CUP SUPER 4 Qualified Teams) and the UAE team is out of the tournament. These two teams were a do or die match, in which Pakistan scored 146 runs while playing first. In response, the UAE team was able to score only 105 runs.
The Pakistan team got an invitation to bat first. The UAE bowlers dropped the 6 wickets of the Pak team below the score of 100. At one time it seemed difficult for Pakistan to go up to 120, but Shaheen Afridi’s innings of 14 balls in 14 balls brought the team to a score of 146.
In response, the UAE team started fast, but the first wicket fell for 21 runs, a few minutes later, the team’s score was 37/3. Meanwhile, Rahul Chopra and Rahul Parashar shared 48 runs and handled the team. Chopra scored 35 runs and Parashar scored 20, but after that the UAE lost the last 7 wickets within just 18 runs.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed took two wickets and broke the back of UAE’s batting line-up. Sam Job and captain Salman Aga also took one wicket each while trying his hand in bowling.
Pakistan reached Super-4
This victory has brought Pakistan to the Super-4 of the Asia Cup. From Group A, the Indian team has already confirmed a place in Super-4. Now the leaf of Oman and UAE has been cleared from this group. Let us know that till now India and Pakistan are the 2 team qualifying for Super-4. In Group B, the race to secure a place in the final-4 between Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh continues.
