The first ODI series will be played, which will start from October 19. According to BCCI sources, the Indian ODI team will ride in flight for Australia in 2 different batches on 15 October. The first batch will leave in the morning and the second batch in the evening. The time for players to leave for Australia will depend on the availability of flight tickets.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will join the rest of the players in New Delhi before catching the flight. That is, Virat Kohli will first come to India from England (London) and then catch Australia’s flight. India vs Australia first ODI will be played in Perth on 19 October. If domestic and international matches are finished before the scheduled schedule, the players can be given a short break before going to Australia.
Shubman Gill will be captain
This will be the first time Shubman Gill will be captaining the Indian ODI team. At the time of the announcement of the squad, Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar appointed Shubman Gill as the new captain of the Indian ODI team.
