Regarding the India-US trade agreement at the summit, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore said, ‘For all of you who have asked why it is taking so much time, it has been one and a half years since these talks on the trade deal started. To put it in perspective, the European Union took approximately 19 years. Therefore, we are confident that this trade deal will be finalized in the next few weeks or in the next few months. This will provide stability and opportunity to both our sides.

He further said that Microsoft announced an investment of $ 17.5 billion in India, which also includes the expansion of hyperscale cloud infrastructure. Earlier this month, Google announced a $15 billion AI hub to help AI research and development.

‘Working on President Trust Initiative’

The US Ambassador said that we are working with India on the President Trust Initiative. Giant teams of US and Indian entrepreneurs are building startups in emerging tech fields through our continued support of the India-US Science and Technology Forum and the US-India Science and Technology Endowment Fund.
