Lakhs of teachers of Uttar Pradesh are soon going to get big relief related to health facilities. Preparations for cashless medical cards to be made for teachers under the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme are almost complete. The design of the card has been ready and the online application form has also been released. Now after departmental approval, the process of implementing the scheme will begin.
Will be able to apply sitting at home
After the launch of the scheme, teachers will be able to apply online. While applying, OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to Aadhaar card, through which identity will be confirmed. After this the application can be submitted by uploading the necessary documents.
Every update will be available on mobile
After the application is submitted, the process of scrutiny will begin. First of all the application will go to the Block Education Officer (BEO). After getting approval from there, it will be sent to the Basic Education Officer (BSA). Teachers will continue to get information about the stage of the application through mobile messages.
Family members will also be able to avail benefits
If a teacher wants to include eligible dependents of his family also in this scheme, then he can choose this option while applying. With this, family members will also be able to avail the benefit of treatment facilities.

When will you be able to download the card?
Cashless medical card will be issued after e-KYC, verification of documents and completion of all necessary formalities. Teachers will be able to download it online and use it as and when needed.
Cashless treatment will be available up to Rs 5 lakh
Under this scheme, teachers of Basic and Secondary Education Department and their eligible dependents will be able to avail cashless medical facility up to Rs 5 lakh. This means that the worry of spending money out of pocket in the hospital for treatment will be reduced to a great extent.
