During his visit to Netherlands, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the vision of a new India to the world. Addressing the Indian community, PM Modi said that India is now not just a rapidly developing country but is also becoming a ‘global growth engine’ giving direction to the world’s economy and technology. From the ambition of hosting the Olympics to AI, startups, Digital India and space missions, PM Modi gave a clear message that the new India now has the ability to set big goals and achieve them.
Rapid change happening in India
PM Modi said that modern India is seeing big changes in many areas. He informed that India successfully organized the G20 summit and also hosted the world’s largest AI summit. He said that this is not just a one-time achievement, but has become the identity of today’s India.
Emphasis on startup and digital India
The Prime Minister said that India has become the third largest startup ecosystem in the world. He also informed that the world’s largest unique ID program and the largest financial inclusion campaign has been launched in the country. He said that digitalization is increasing very fast in India and the country is also running the world’s largest government health insurance scheme.
India’s achievements in space
PM Modi also mentioned India’s space achievements. He said that India has reached that part of the moon where no one had reached before. According to him, it is a symbol of the country’s growing confidence and ambition.
Recalled 2014 election results
Recalling the Lok Sabha election results of 16 May 2014, the Prime Minister said that after many decades, a stable government with absolute majority was formed in India. He said, ‘The faith of crores of Indians does not let me stop or get tired.’
Appreciation of Indian culture and diaspora
While addressing the Indian community in The Hague, PM Modi also praised the NRIs. He said that despite living abroad, Indians have preserved their culture, festivals and family values. He said that generations, countries and circumstances changed with time, but the values and belongingness of Indian families never changed.
