According to weather experts, there is every possibility of severe heat wave in many states including Delhi-NCR during this period and new temperature records can be created.

Take precautions to avoid heat
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning to people in view of the rising temperatures and heat wave. During this week, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are likely to prevail over the plains of north-western and central India and adjoining eastern India. In such a situation, be alert and take necessary precautions to protect yourself from extreme heat. The department has advised to drink plenty of water to protect from heat and do not allow dehydration in the body. Wear light-coloured, loose-fitting cotton clothes. Avoid leaving the house during the hottest time of the afternoon (12 noon to 4 pm). Use umbrella/hat/sunglasses while going out. Take special care of children, elderly and pets. Never leave children or pets alone inside parked vehicles.
