Deepti Sharma broke the record of Thailand’s Thipacha Puttavong, who has taken 165 wickets in T20 cricket so far, while after taking the wicket against Pakistan, Deepti’s total has become 166 wickets. How much dominance Deepti has in T20 can be gauged from the fact that the second Indian to take the most wickets is Radha Yadav, who currently has 103 wickets to her name.
Apart from Deepti and Radha, till now no other Indian has been able to reach 100 wickets in T20. The closest to this is Poonam Yadav, who currently has 98 wickets in her account.

Deepti Sharma is the first Indian player in the history of women’s T20 cricket to take 5-wicket haul twice. Before them, Jhulan Goswami, Priyanka Roy, Renuka Singh had taken 5-wicket hauls in T20, but till now no Indian had been able to do so twice.
