While demanding quota in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, April 16, 2026, Iqra said – women from religious minorities of the country should also be given a quota in it. That is, Iqra has demanded reservation for all minorities and not just Muslim women.

He demanded sub-reservation (sub-quota) for OBC and deprived class women. The MP also suggested that separate provisions should be made for OBC, minority and poor class women and the state should support the election expenses.

He said that earlier the government had said that women’s reservation would be implemented after 2034, and now there is talk of implementing it in 2029, which is contradictory.
