The building of a Chinese company based in Kuwait has been targeted in Iran’s missile attack. According to Kuwait’s army, one employee died in the attack, while the building was heavily damaged. Kuwait’s Defense Ministry issued a statement regarding this on Thursday (30 July 2026). He said that in an attack by Iran, the building of a Chinese company located in the northern part of the country was targeted, in which an employee was killed.
Major General Saud Abdulaziz al-Otaibi of the Defense Ministry said that the attack caused heavy damage to the building. He said that the concerned authorities have started taking necessary steps to deal with the incident.
Al-Otaibi said the Kuwaiti Armed Forces continue to discharge their missions and duties with high efficiency. He said, ‘All necessary measures are being taken to protect the sovereignty, security and stability of the country. Also, the safety of citizens and people living in the country is being ensured by coordinating with the concerned agencies.
At the same time, there is news of huge loss due to fire in Damietta Port of Egypt. Two ships were set on fire in the attack on the port on Wednesday (July 29) night. The government said on Thursday that preliminary investigation has revealed that the cause of the fire was a drone attack. Iran is believed to be behind this attack. The New York Times quoted two Iranian sources as saying that the purpose of this attack was to show that if Iran escalates the conflict further, it could have a major impact on the world’s maritime shipping and energy supplies.
Meanwhile, America carried out heavy bombardment in more than ten cities of Iran in the early hours of Thursday. According to the US Central Command, their targets were dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) positions. After these attacks, the conflict between the two countries has increased further. After the American air strikes, Iran has also announced retaliatory action. According to Fars News Agency, the IRGC said, ‘With the help of God, the attacker will be punished today.’
