Speaking to reporters in Chennai on 10 May, producer Venkat K Narayana said that the film could be released in theaters within the next 14 days. According to the report of Filmbeat, the producer said that the approval process of CBFC for ‘Jana Nayakan’ is going on. Talks are going on with the Central Board of Film Certification. Directed by H. Vinod, this film has been one of the most talked about Tamil films in recent months. This project was delayed due to certification related issues. The film remained in the news even after the online leak controversy last month. Venkat K Narayan praised Vijay. While interacting with the media, Venkat K Narayan praised Vijay’s dedication and discipline. He said that the actor turned politician is known for keeping his promises. The makers also linked the title ‘Jana Nayakan’ with a new political phase in Tamil Nadu under the leadership of Vijay.
He described Vijay as a leader with deep connection with the common people. He also mentioned the challenges faced during film production in recent months. Describing some of the incidents as unfortunate, he said that the team is now completely concentrating on the release of the film.
