What is Mukhyamantri Hunar Vikas Yojana?
The objective of the Chief Minister Hunar Vikas Yojana, run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department of the Government of Rajasthan, is to provide financial assistance for higher and technical education to the students associated with the Palanhar Scheme. The aim of the scheme is to make the youth self-reliant by giving them employment-oriented education and to create better career opportunities for them.
When did the plan start?
Mukhyamantri Hunar Vikas Yojana was started by the Government of Rajasthan on 19 January 2012. Since then, this scheme is providing support to thousands of needy students in getting higher education. Even at present, eligible students can avail the benefits of this scheme.
First know what is Palanhar Scheme?
Palanhar Yojana is an important welfare scheme of the Government of Rajasthan. Under this, financial assistance is given to orphan, semi-orphan and other eligible categories of children to provide them better upbringing in a family environment. The government wants that the education and future of such children should not be affected due to financial lack. Mukhyamantri Hunar Vikas Yojana is also an extension of this thinking, through which students who are beneficiaries of Palanhar Yojana are given assistance for college and technical education.
Main objective of the scheme
The aim of the government is to ensure that talented children from economically weaker families do not leave their studies merely due to lack of money. Through the scheme, students get an opportunity to get employment-based education, so that they can become self-reliant by getting better jobs in the future.

Who can apply?
Only boys and girls who are beneficiaries of Palanhar Scheme of Rajasthan can avail the benefit of this scheme. The minimum age of the applicant should be 15 years and he should be studying in a recognized college, university or technical institute. The maximum age has been fixed at 21 years or till completion of the course.
Documents required for application
While applying, Aadhar card, bank account information, certificate related to Palanhar Scheme, admission certificate, educational qualification document, passport size photo and other necessary certificates will have to be submitted.
How to apply?
Application for the scheme is made through offline mode. Students can get the application form from the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. After filling the application form, it will have to be submitted along with the necessary documents to the office of the Deputy Director or Assistant Director at the district level. Keep in mind that it is necessary to apply within three months of taking admission.
