Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today on Wednesday (July 29) launched the Samrasata Sankalp Campaign on the occasion of the 650th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj at the birthplace of Sant Ravidas in Seer Govardhanpur, Varanasi. During this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced from the stage that Bhadohi will be known as Sant Ravidas, Bhadohi will be Sant Ravidas Nagar.
CM Yogi said that the legacy of Saint Ravidas is the cultural identity of the state and the country and the government is committed to honoring it. While targeting the opposition, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that these people who are dividing the country and society are the same people who believe in Babar and Aurangzeb.
He said that Saint Ravidas had given the message of uniting the society, whereas some political parties have been working to divide the society. Taking aim at the Samajwadi Party, CM Yogi said that the name of the medical college built in the name of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in Kannauj was changed.

Earlier, the Deputy CM present on the stage said that you all will remember that when Samajwadi Party was in power in Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party government had done the work of renaming the district named Sant Ravidas Nagar next to Varanasi by changing its name to Bhadohi. On the birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas ji, after talking to the Honorable Chief Minister, we will again get the work done to rename Bhadohi as Sant Ravidas Nagar.

Deputy CM said that here also you all should keep in mind that the people of the opposition party do not like Sanatan culture, Indian culture and darshan of these revered saints. They don’t even respect them, they try to insult them. The place where you all have gathered was under the control of Samajwadi Party goons.
