Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi addressed the National Tribal Professional Conclave on Wednesday (3 June 2026). Making clear the difference between the words tribal and forest dwellers, he described the tribal community as the root of India’s civilization and history. During this, he targeted the BJP government at the Center and the RSS. He alleged that BJP and RSS want to deprive the tribals of their rights to water, forest and land.
He addressed the gathering after paying tribute to Birsa Munda in the ‘Tribal Professionals Conclave 2026’ and also discussed the issues related to tribals. Rahul Gandhi said, ‘The Congress Party and I respect your rights and are ready to take every step and fight every battle to protect them. Tribal cell chief Vikrant Bhuria also presented a traditional tribal cap to the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

During this he claimed, ‘A terrible economic tsunami is coming now. The prices of everything are going to increase. The protection system that existed in India was removed by BJP. There will be such an economic crisis that you have not seen in your life. No one can stop this now.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said, ‘On the other hand, there is an institutional revolt taking place inside India. You think that the Election Commission is in control, it was completely in control three years ago. I am receiving messages from the Chief Election Commissioner. Senior judiciary and intelligence officers are all revolting. They tell us that the system which was under control is collapsing.
Narendra Modi will not be Prime Minister within a year: Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Do you think the Election Commissioner will not be afraid of what is going to happen tomorrow… the system is shaking from within. I keep getting information from inside the system about PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, his son, ministers, Ajit Doval lessons. Now it is possible that we try to suppress the public pressure and impose something like emergency. In my opinion, PM Modi will not be the Prime Minister within a year.
