The National Testing Agency (NTA) has now come forward amid questions raised regarding the allotment of an examination center in Abu Dhabi for the NEET (UG) 2026 examination to a candidate from Nagpur. After the postponement of the NEET (UG) 2026 examination till June 21, the opportunity to amend the exam city was again given for the convenience of the candidates. The agency said that around 3.2 lakh candidates used this correction window and more than 99.5 percent of these candidates were allotted the examination city of their choice.
What was the matter?
In fact, when Abdullah Mohammad Talib of Nagpur downloaded the admit card to appear in the NEET UG exam, he was shocked. The show was being held at an exam center located in Abu Dhabi. After which many questions were being raised on NTA on social media. After which now NTA has also given its response.

According to NTA records, in the concerned case, the process of changing the examination city to Abu Dhabi was done through the candidate’s own registered login. According to the agency, the activities recorded in the system show that this change was made by a single user.
Last minute demand for Nagpur center
However, on the evening of June 19, just 48 hours before the exam, NTA received an informal request to change the center from Abu Dhabi to Nagpur. The agency took immediate action and contacted the candidate’s father the same evening and helped complete the necessary process.

Abu Dhabi center seen thrice
NTA says that as per records, once the examination center was changed to Abu Dhabi from the candidate’s ID and on two other occasions also the center was previewed as Abu Dhabi. Despite this, the agency accepted the student’s request and completed the process of changing the centre.

Emphasis on ‘Student First’ policy
NTA said that its priority is always to keep the interests of the students paramount. The objective of the agency is to ensure that no candidate faces unnecessary trouble in appearing in the examination and all possible assistance is provided if needed.
