Preparations for NEET-UG re-exam have been intensified on a large scale across the country. To ensure fair, transparent and smooth conduct of the examination, mock drills were organized in different states and cities on Saturday. During this, security arrangements, monitoring system and administrative preparations at the examination centers were reviewed.
Police department, district administration, officials of examination centres, education department and other concerned agencies participated in this mock drill organized at the national level. The officials examined the security protocols to be implemented on the day of the examination and assessed the necessary arrangements to ensure that the candidates do not face any inconvenience.
Entry arrangements, identity verification, screening of candidates, CCTV surveillance, jammer system, control room operations and emergency response mechanisms were examined at many examination centers across the country. The officials laid special emphasis on ensuring that the possibility of cheating, paper leaks or any kind of irregularity during the examination is completely eliminated. More than 22 lakh candidates will appear in the Re-NEET exam. The examination will be conducted in 551 cities of the country. The exam was conducted from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

What efforts are being made?
According to reports, technical monitoring system is being established at the exam centre. Efforts are being made to keep the examination process secure and transparent through live monitoring of CCTV cameras, availability of jammers and deployment of special monitoring teams.
What happened?
Police and administrative officials visited the examination centers in different states and inspected the arrangements. At many places, deployment of security forces inside and outside the examination centres, traffic management, entry and exit routes of candidates and monitoring of sensitive areas was practiced. Besides, the protocols related to security of examination material and monitoring of strong room were also reviewed.
Air Force delivered the papers
To ensure safe conduct of Re-NEET exam, question papers were airlifted to different states of the country through Indian Air Force helicopters. Keeping security in mind, question papers were transported under special arrangements so that there is no possibility of any kind of disturbance or delay.
