Russian President Vladimir Putin has given a big statement regarding the fifth generation Sukhoi-57. He said that Russia is always ready to work with India on the Sukhoi-57 fifth-generation stealth fighter aircraft program. He said that he looks forward to supporting India in both supply and development of defense programs, which will further deepen defense cooperation between the two countries.
Vladimir Putin has said this in an extensive conversation with the heads of the world’s leading news agencies including ‘PTI’. Putin noted Russia’s defense and military ties with India and cited the joint development and joint production of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles.
Putin also indicated that Russia has offered India to work jointly on the development of the fifth-generation Sukhoi-57 fighter aircraft. India is in the process of purchasing a batch of fifth generation fighter aircraft.
Putin said, ‘We have proposed to our Indian friends to work together on technology… fifth generation technology… We are ready to work with India in this area to provide fighter aircraft to India.’

President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to provide India with important technology for major defense platforms and weapons. During this period, Vladimir Putin also talked about the tense relations between India and Pakistan. He said, ‘We are well aware of the complexities of the border issues between India and Pakistan.’
When asked about China-Pakistan friendship, Vladimir Putin said, ‘Of course, it is very important for Pakistan to keep in mind cooperation with China.’ Putin said that he does not believe that Pakistan is under the control of China. He said, ‘Pakistan is a big country, which has multidimensional relations with different countries.’
