During this performance, she was wearing a sleeveless dress instead of hijab. This video of his went viral within no time, which was viewed by millions of people. At that time, Parastu Ahmadi and some people working with him were detained, but were later released. However, legal action against him continued.
Human rights activists target Iran

Bahar Gandehari, director of America’s Center for Human Rights in Iran, said, ‘Ahmadi’s punishment of 74 lashes is a reminder that the situation of human rights in Iran has not changed at all.
