A surprising incident happened in India vs Afghanistan third ODI. The captain of the visiting team, Hashmatullah Shahidi, made a mistake due to which his team had to bear the brunt. With this the Indian team got 5 free runs. Penalty after warning

Before the penalty, the umpire had warned Hashmatullah Shahidi twice. After this the Afghanistan captain kept repeating that mistake. The umpire’s patience ran out in the 40th over. Shahidi took a run off the ball of Washington Sundar, after which the umpire stopped him and penalized him by informing him of the violation of the rules.

The umpire gave 5 runs penalty to Team India for Hashmatullah’s mistake. Along with this, that run was also not counted, after which the umpire had stopped him and punished him. When Shahidi did not take strike in the 41st over, the commentators along with the fans were left wondering.

Then it became clear that the run taken on the last ball of the previous over was not valid, so Rashid Khan took the strike.

India won the match by 9 wickets

Afghanistan had scored 218 runs while batting first, in reply India achieved the target in 28.4 overs and registered a big win by 9 wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma made a partnership of 170 runs for the first wicket. Rohit scored 79 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten after scoring 110 runs. With this victory, India won the 3-match ODI series 3-0.

Ishan Kishan told through gestures that Shubman Gill was instigating him to hit 6 sixes, in which attempt he got out. The way he was batting in the second ODI against Afghanistan on Wednesday, it seemed that he would score 200 runs. There was a partnership of 224 runs between Ishan and Gill, due to which India was able to touch the 400-run mark in ODIs for the eighth time. BCCI shared the video after the match, in which a funny conversation was seen between the two.

Ishan Kishan said, “Brother, my 70 runs were reduced by hitting 6 sixes.” To this Gill said, “We had to kill you anyway.” Agreeing to this, Ishaan said, “Yes, I had to kill, 100 percent.”

In the video shared by BCCI, Ishan Kishan said, “The plan was very simple, wanted a good partnership. When Shubman Gill was batting, he wanted me to keep batting because the wicket was very good for the batsmen. We just wanted to dominate the bowlers.”

Shubman Gill had fun during the interview

When Ishaan was giving an interview, Shubman Gill was standing on the side and he said, “Was the plan not to give me strike for 5-6 overs?” On this, Ishaan laughed and said, “No, this was not the plan, I just wanted to be on strike when the spinners came.”

Gurnoor Brar said, “I had only one dream to represent India in Tests, so that dream does not happen like that. Describing Dale Steyn as his favorite bowler, he said that he liked his aggression very much, he liked his way of celebrating every wicket.

He said, “My mindset was the same before and is still the same that I don’t just have to play, but I have to play well and stay there. So the same mindset will remain with me whether I am playing my first match or I am playing my 100th match.”

Rohit Sharma has now officially become the oldest player to play in ODI for the Indian cricket team. He has broken the 37 year old record of Mohinder Amarnath. Rohit is part of the playing 11 in the first ODI between India vs Afghanistan being played in Dharamshala, today he is 39 years 44 days old.

The first ODI being played in Dharamshala started with a delay of 4 hours 15 minutes from the scheduled time. Shubman Gill won the toss and decided to bowl first. 2 players made their debut

Two players also made their debut in the first ODI against Afghanistan. Harsh Dubey and Gurnoor Brar are playing their first match in Dharamshala. Due to rain, this match started with a delay of 4 hours 15 minutes, which has been decided for 25-25 overs.

Afghanistan’s wicketkeeper batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz played a historic inning of 102 runs in the first ODI against India, he scored a century in 48 balls.
