Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishore broke his silence on not opening his party’s account in Bihar elections and claimed that the elections were ‘rigged’. However, he admitted that at this time he had no evidence to support this allegation.

Prashant Kishor described Jan Suraj’s defeat as a ‘crushing’ defeat, but also stressed that the impact of his campaign was visible at the grassroots level. ‘Some unstoppable forces were at play’
Speaking to India Today TV on Sunday (November 23), Prashant Kishor said that some unstoppable forces were at play, parties which people hardly knew got lakhs of votes. Some people are saying that EVMs were tampered. This is something that people accuse after losing. I don’t have any proof, but a lot of things don’t match. Prima facie it seems something has gone wrong, but we don’t know what.

NDA government accused of distributing money
Apart from this, the founder of Jan Suraj also accused the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of distributing money to thousands of women voters in Bihar to manipulate the election results. Kishore said, “From the day of announcement of the elections till the day of voting, the women were given Rs 10,000. Even this amount was not enough for their promise. They were told that they would get a total of Rs 2 lakh and this Rs 10,000 was just the first instalment.

‘Fear of return of Lalu’s jungle raj’
Prashant Kishore further said that another factor that was working most against Jan Suraj was the fear of the return of Lalu’s jungle raj. By the last phase of the campaign, many voters had assumed that Jan Suraj was in no position to win. Their concern was simple, if they voted for us and we did not win, it could pave the way for the return of Lalu’s jungle raj. This fear certainly turned some people away.

He also alleged that a message was spread among the women that if the NDA did not return to power, further funds would be stopped.

Jan Suraj’s stand and political debate on prohibition

On Jan Suraj’s defeat, it was also said that Prashant Kishor had talked about changes in liquor prohibition when he came to power, which alienated women voters. Rejecting this claim, Pawan Verma said that liquor is available illegally in almost every area of ​​the state and this has increased the problems of the family. According to him, it has a direct impact on women, hence the issue of prohibition cannot be the reason for Jan Suraj’s defeat.
