CID Intelligence of Rajasthan Police has exposed a big funding network linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI and arrested its alleged funding agent. The investigating agency claims that the accused used to deliver the money sent by ISI to the people doing spies in India.
CID Intelligence ADG Prafulla Kumar said that this action was taken on the basis of important clues revealed during the investigation of an espionage case registered in January 2026. In that case, Jhabra Ram, resident of Jaisalmer, and Sumit Kumar, posted as MTS at Dibrugarh Air Force Station in Assam, were arrested. Both of them are accused of passing confidential information related to the Indian Army to the handlers of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.
According to him, as the investigation progressed, it was revealed that the money received by both the accused in exchange for espionage was sent through 41-year-old Rafiq Chand Shaikh, resident of Aurangabad, Maharashtra. After this, CID (Intelligence) interrogated Rafiq, in which many important revelations were made.

Rafiq was in contact with an ISI handler for the last four years
During interrogation it was revealed that Rafiq was in contact with an ISI handler for the last four years. He was identified through social media. According to the investigating agency, on the instructions of the handler, apart from his own name, he opened several bank accounts in the names of other people and through those accounts, he kept sending money to people associated with the espionage network.
After finding sufficient evidence in the investigation, CID (Intelligence) arrested Rafiq Chand Shaikh on 30 June 2026. At present his interrogation is going on. CID (Intelligence) says that this matter is not limited to just one person. Now this entire funding network, other people associated with it and money transactions are being investigated in depth.
To whom else was the money transferred through this network?
The agency is also finding out to whom else the money was sent through this network. Rajasthan Police says that any kind of anti-national activity will not be tolerated in matters related to the country’s security and strict action will continue against such networks in the future.
