Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 96 runs in the match against Gujarat Titans in Qualifier-2. This was the second consecutive match in the playoffs when Vaibhav missed a century. By scoring 96 runs against Gujarat, 15 year old Vaibhav performed a historic feat, which no one had been able to do in the IPL before. In fact, Vaibhav has become the first uncapped player in history to have scored 700 or more runs in a season.
In the Qualifier-2 match against Gujarat, Vaibhav scored 96 runs playing 47 balls. After this inning, Vaibhav has scored 776 runs in this season. Vaibhav has also become the first batsman to score 500 or more runs in powerplay overs in an IPL season.
Most runs in a single IPL season (uncapped)
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the first uncapped player to cross the 700-run mark in an IPL season. If we talk about the uncapped cricketers who have scored the most runs in a season, then the name of Yashasvi Jaiswal comes at second place. Before making his debut for Team India, he had scored 625 runs in the IPL 2023 season. Australia’s Shaun Marsh, Ryan Parag and Prabhsimran Singh are also included in this list.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has completed 1000 runs in his short IPL career. He also achieved this feat in the Qualifier-2 match against Gujarat. He also made the record of being the fastest to complete 1000 runs in terms of fewest innings and fewest balls. He achieved this milestone in his 23rd innings and completed 1000 runs in IPL by playing only 440 balls.
