Why was there delay in UP Panchayat elections? The minister of Yogi government gave the reason, said- now only the court…

Yogi government minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has given a big statement on the delay in Panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh. He has made serious allegations against the Samajwadi Party on the delay in Panchayat elections. There is a possibility that Panchayat elections will be conducted only after the UP Assembly elections.

Amidst all this, OP Rajbhar said that Samajwadi Party filed a case in the court through its advisors and lawyers. Once the matter goes to the judiciary, whatever happens now will be as per the instructions of the court.

National President of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party said that the court had ordered the formation of the Backward Classes Commission, and accordingly the government formed the commission. A committee has also been formed and it is doing its work. Whatever order is issued by the court, it will be implemented.

The tenure of the chiefs ends on May 26.

Let us tell you that in Uttar Pradesh, the tenure of village heads ended on 26th May. After the end of the tenure, all the village heads have been appointed as administrators, however, they will have to take the approval of the District Magistrate/Collector in taking policy decisions.

It was believed that Panchayat elections would be held from February to April but due to the delay in the formation of the Backward Classes Commission, the process started slowing down. Meanwhile, petitions were filed in Allahabad High Court and then the matter went to court.

On the other hand, the Yogi government approved the formation of the Backward Classes Commission from the cabinet in the second week of May and the members of the commission were announced in the third week. This commission will submit its report within six months. After that the objections will be heard and finally the reservation will be decided.

‘This is not democracy, it is dictatorship…’, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari lashed out at the attack on TMC leaders.

All these processes may take at least 6-8 months. In such a situation, it is certain that the Panchayat elections of UP will be held only after the assembly.
