The opposition is on target if the Women’s Reservation Bill is not passed in the Parliament. RLM (Rashtriya Lok Morcha) chief cum Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha (Upendra Kushwaha) Said that if this bill had been passed, the mothers and sisters of the country would have got the benefit of 33 percent reservation. Upendra Kushwaha had arrived in Sasaram on Sunday (April 19, 2026) to attend a private program.

During this, while talking to the media, he reacted on important issues like women’s reservation bill and delimitation. He said that this could have been a big step towards women empowerment, but it was not possible due to the attitude of the opposition.

‘The campaign regarding delimitation has been going on for a long time’

Upendra Kushwaha said that he has been running a campaign regarding delimitation for the last several years. He said that if the delimitation bill was passed, the number of Lok Sabha seats in Bihar would have increased from 40 to 60. Assembly seats in Bihar would have increased from 243 to 365. He believes that delimitation will not only improve public representation, but the states will also get proper representation according to their population.

She said that if the Women’s Reservation Bill was implemented, women would have got more opportunities in these increased seats. According to him, this step would prove helpful in further strengthening the democratic structure of the country.

‘The public has seen the attitude of the opposition’

Kushwaha accused the entire opposition including Congress and said that they did not cooperate on important issues like women’s reservation and delimitation. He said that the people of the country have seen the attitude of the opposition in the Parliament. It has become clear that they are not serious about women empowerment.

The Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) on Sunday announced that it will organize a protest march on April 22 at all the district headquarters of the party across Bihar. Overall, politics on issues like women’s reservation and delimitation is not going to stop yet.
