Apart from this, Rs 20,000 is given separately annually, which students can use on their compulsory summer research projects and scientific activities. This assistance can be provided for a maximum of 5 years, i.e. till the completion of graduation and post graduation studies.

The age of the student applying for this scholarship should be between 17 to 22 years. Apart from this, the student should be studying science related subjects. If a student’s 12th board exam marks fall in the top 1 percent of students in his state or central board, he can apply.

On the other hand, students who have secured top 10,000 ranks in JEE Main, JEE Advanced or NEET exams are also considered eligible for this scheme. Apart from this, students who have achieved in KVPY, NTSE, JBNSTS or Science Olympiad can also get the benefit of this scheme.
