The arbitrariness of government employees of Bihar will no longer be acceptable. Samrat Chaudhary regarding this (Samrat Choudhary) A big step has been taken by the government. An order has been issued last Monday (June 01, 2026). Biometric attendance for all government officers and employees of the state in the order issued by Dr. B. Rajender, Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration Department. (Biometric Attendance) Has been made mandatory.
This step has been taken to make the administrative system efficient and timely. That means the story of ‘no late at 10 o’clock, no meeting at 1 o’clock’ will no longer work. Under the order issued on Monday, now Bihar Biometric Attendance System will be implemented in all government offices from Panchayat level to District level. (BBAS) Attendance will be recorded through this only.
Not only this, it has also been clearly stated in the order that as per the new rules, officers and employees who do not come to office on time will be subject to action. This means that any kind of carelessness regarding attendance will not be tolerated in the Emperor’s government.

Know the highlights of the orders issued
The order states that biometric attendance will be mandatory for all government employees and officers of Bihar. Attendance will be recorded through Bihar Biometric Attendance System (BBAS) in all offices from Panchayat to district level. Leave adjustment or salary deduction will be made for coming late to office.
All salary payments will be made on the basis of biometric attendance. Along with this, office heads will have to provide print out of attendance every month. It is also mentioned in the letter issued that where there are faulty biometric machines, they should be repaired immediately. In those offices which do not have machines, they have been asked to install them soon.
According to the instructions, monitoring will be done by appointing a nodal officer at the district level. Additional Chief Secretary Dr. B. Rajender has instructed all the District Magistrates to ensure strict compliance.
