Israeli army raids Lebanon amid opposition from leaders

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is going to be signed between America and Iran in Switzerland on Friday (June 19, 2026). Earlier, many Israeli leaders have given their reactions on social media platform X opposing this agreement. On the other hand, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s army, enraged by the agreement, has once again attacked Lebanon.

Israeli Defense Minister opposes US-Iran peace deal

The most prominent name among those who reacted against the agreement between America and Iran is Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz. He has said that if Iran attacks Israel because of the ongoing military actions in Lebanon, then Tel Aviv is ready to respond with full force.

Defense Minister Katz also reiterated that Israel will not withdraw its forces from Lebanon, Syria and the Gaza Strip. No compromise on security – Ben-Gvir

After the announcement of the agreement, the ministers of the right-wing coalition of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have said that this agreement announced by US President Donald Trump will not apply to Israel. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said in the post, ‘Trump’s agreement does not bind us. Israel is not under America. We are an independent and sovereign country.

He said, ‘We are not party to any agreement that does not ensure our security and it cannot bind us in any way. We must settle for nothing less than the complete destruction of Hezbollah. Furthermore, there should be no retreat from any areas captured and liberated from terrorist infrastructure by our brave warriors.
