Today is the ninth day of protests in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). More than 70 thousand protesters are standing firm in the Idgah ground of Rawalakot demanding their 38 rights. Meanwhile, ABP News has got the evidence of another inhuman attempt by Pakistan’s brutal army and government to crush the protest.

For the last three days, the Pakistani government has stopped trucks carrying food items like flour, rice, vegetables, fruits from other parts of Pakistan to PoK at different borders of PoK. There is a queue of 30 to 40 trucks at almost every border, which Pakistani Rangers and Punjab Highway Patrol Police are not allowing to enter PoJK.

56 dead so far in PoK

To crush the ongoing protest in PoK since June 9, the Pakistani government and army first opened fire on the main organizer of the protest, Sardar Umar Nazir and his associate Shahzeb Habib, four days earlier on June 5, in which when Shahzeb Habib died, people sat with Shahzeb Habib’s dead body. In which again on June 6-7, Pakistani Rangers opened fire and killed 26 people. After this, when the protest started on June 9, firing was done in Bhimber, Dadiyal, Kotli, Mirpur and Rawalkot on June 9 and June 10, in which 11 people were killed. After this, as people from different areas of PoJK gathered in Rawalakot, again on June 11 and June 14, bullets were fired on the protesters who had gathered on the road to offer Fajr prayers in the morning, in which 16 people were killed on June 11 and 3 people were killed on June 14.

Punjab Police stopped trucks filled with ration at the border

In such a situation, when the Pakistani government could not end the protest even after taking the lives of 56 people, now from June 15, Pakistani Rangers and Punjab Police stopped the trucks carrying food items inside POK at the borders and closed the entry so that pressure can be created on the people of POK.

Last night, when Awami Action Committee workers asked a truck driver why he was standing at the border and who stopped him, he clearly said that Pakistani officials. However, this pressure of the Pakistani government is also not working on the people of PoK and this morning amidst heavy rain, a large number of protesters are standing on the Idgah grounds and women are raising slogans of freedom on the roads.
