BCCI Central Contract 2025: Rohit Sharma, who won the T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy under their captaincy, will remain in A+ grade in the 2024-25 contract list of BCCI. In media reports, BCCI sources are being told that Virat Kohli will also keep his contract, that too will remain in A+ grade. While Shreyas Iyer will return to the list.
Rohit Sharma retired from this format after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title. Virat Kohli also retired after this final match from T20. According to BCCI sources, even after taking retirement from T20, both are being considered to keep them in A Plus grade. The board believes that both the legendary cricketers have played an important role in the success of the team and they should get the honor they deserve.
Let us tell you that in February 2024, BCCI included Virat, Rohit along with Jaspreet Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja in Grade A+. A total of 6 players were included in Grade A, although Shreyas Iyer’s name was not named in it.
Shreyas Iyer will return
Shreyas Iyer was dropped by the BCCI from the Central Contract list due to not playing some domestic matches last year. Iyer contributed significantly to the Champions Trophy 2025 victory, scoring 243 runs in 5 innings. He is ready to return to the Central Contract.
It is being said in the report that Ishaan Kishan can be kept out of the list this time too. He was also excluded with Iyer last year. Ishaan has not played any international matches since 2023.
