In Bihar, Samrat Chaudhary’s government seems to be strict regarding madrassas. Orders for investigation have been issued regarding madrassas of Bihar. Those madrassas which are taking grants from the state government have to be investigated. Meanwhile, after the order issued by the Education Department, politics is also taking place on this issue.
‘Government should not try to create an environment’
On Tuesday (June 02, 2026), RJD spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed said that the government should not try to create an atmosphere in the name of investigating madrassas. He said that it has to be seen that the basic education in the name of investigation is not affected.
A statement has also come from BJP in this entire matter. On the investigation of Madrasas, BJP spokesperson Kuntal Krishna said, “The government wants to know what is the condition of Madrasas, what things are needed, what is being taught, hence orders have been given to investigate Madrasas. The NDA government guarantees to ensure a bright future for the children of every section.”

What did Ghulam Rasool Baliyavi say?
On the order of investigation, the statement of Bihar State Minority Commission Chairman Maulana Ghulam Rasool Baliyavi has also come. He said that there is a need to understand two things, not only the madrasa runs on grants but the Sanskrit school under the Education Board also runs on grants. Many schools and colleges also run on grants.
He said that the government first investigates and then gives grants, be it Madrasa, Sanskrit College or other schools and colleges, but if only Madrasa is investigated in the name of grant, then anyone will suffer.
He said, “We request that those to whom the government gives grants should also be investigated. Many files of grants under Right to Education are lying with the government, they should get clearance.”
