NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam: Just before the NEET UG 2026 re-exam, the rumor of paper leak on social media has once again increased the concern of lakhs of students and their families. A photo of a question paper started going viral on Telegram and other social media platforms, after which many people started claiming that the NEET re-test paper has been leaked again. Within no time it became a topic of discussion on the internet and created confusion among the students.

However, the fact check team of Press Information Bureau (PIB) immediately reacted to this entire matter and termed the viral claim as completely fake. PIB has appealed to the students not to trust any such fake information and get every update related to the examination only from official sources.

How did this claim of paper leak start?

The controversy started when a user on social media platform X shared a screenshot of a photo going viral in a Telegram group. The booklet of NEET question paper was allegedly visible in the photo, with KAVERI written on it. Apart from this, mention of Proofs/Price and a time was also visible in it. Due to the mention of code 23 and English language on the booklet, many people started calling it the real question paper. After this, concern increased among students and parents.

Rumors spread rapidly on social media

This screenshot started being shared rapidly on many social media platforms including Telegram and X. Many users raised questions whether the NEET exam paper has been leaked once again. Without any official confirmation, such posts started going viral, creating confusion and tension in the minds of lakhs of students preparing for re-exam.

What did PIB Fact Check say?

Giving clarification on the viral claim, PIB Fact Check clearly said that the claim of NEET re-test paper leak is completely false and misleading. The agency said that the photo of the question paper being shared on social media is being presented with false claims. PIB said in its official statement that candidates should not believe any such fake information nor share it further, the agency termed this claim as fake and appealed to the students to be cautious.

What advice was given to the students?

PIB Fact Check Unit has asked NEET students to use only official websites and reliable government sources for any information related to the exam. If you see any suspicious or misleading post on social media, do not share it without checking its authenticity. Besides, it has also been advised to complain about such misleading material to the concerned authorities.

NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be held on June 21.

The re-exam of NEET UG 2026 is to be conducted on June 21. The administration is continuously monitoring the situation to stop rumors and misinformation before the examination. It is being told that more than 22 lakh candidates can appear in this examination. In such a situation, it is important for students to stay away from rumours, focus on their preparation and trust only official announcements.
