To end the conflict and tension that has been going on for the last four months in West Asia and to restore complete peace, US President Donald Trump had announced the date of signing a peace agreement with Iran on Saturday (June 13, 2026). Trump had said that the agreement with Iran will be signed on Sunday (June 14, 2026). However, even after Trump’s announcement, no official decision has been announced by Tehran yet.
Iranian news agency Fars reported on Sunday (June 14, 2026) quoting sources that Tehran’s final decision on signing the proposed agreement with the US is still under consideration. Whereas a source in the Iranian negotiating team said that Iran has not yet taken any final decision on the proposed MoU, nor has any official announcement been made regarding it yet.
Qatar team reached Tehran to finalize talks
Qatar’s senior negotiator, who is mediating talks and peace between America and Iran, visited Tehran on Sunday morning (June 14, 2026). His purpose for this visit is to finalize the agreement to end the war between the two sides. Reuters, quoting a source, reported that the Qatari team is working rapidly towards completing the peace agreement between America and Iran.
Pakistani Prime Minister was the first to announce
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif first announced this in a post on social media platform X on Saturday (June 13, 2026) regarding ending the ongoing war between America and Iran and signing the proposed agreement. He thanked both the American and Iranian sides for signing the agreement.
After which, on Saturday (June 13, 2026) night, US President Donald Trump also announced through a social media post the signing of the proposed agreement with Iran on Sunday (June 14, 2026). However, Tehran has not set any final deadline for signing the agreement.
