US President Donald Trump made a big announcement on Monday (May 18) and has currently stopped the possible attack on Iran on Tuesday (May 19). This decision has been taken after the appeal of the top leaders of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar. Trump has indicated that the leaders of Gulf countries have assured him that there is a possibility of a ‘big deal’ with Iran.
Posting on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’, President Trump said that Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed and Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani had sent him a message and appealed that ‘at this time very serious negotiations are going on with Iran, so military action should be stopped. These leaders believe that through negotiations an agreement can be reached that will be acceptable to America and the entire Middle East.
Trump said, ‘We have informed Israel about this, we have also informed other people in the Middle East who have been involved with us, this is a very positive development, but we will see whether any result comes from it or not.’ He further said, we have seen such times before when we felt that we were very close to an agreement, but it did not materialize, but now it is a little different. We were already headed for a very big step, something I did not want, but we have no choice because we cannot let Iran have nuclear weapons.

‘Iran will not have nuclear weapons’- Trump
Trump has again reiterated that the most important condition of any new agreement will be that Iran will never be able to acquire nuclear weapons. He said, I have instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and General Daniel Kane, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to postpone tomorrow’s attack. However, our army is fully prepared and if talks fail, we are ready to launch a massive attack in the blink of an eye.
This statement of Trump has come to light when just a few hours ago there were reports that the new 14-point proposal sent by Iran to America through Pakistan was inadequate. US officials said that if Iran did not improve its stance, America would be forced to ‘talk through bombs’.
Question on Pakistan’s role in Middle East war, is it playing double game by deploying soldiers and weapons in Saudi?
