Shocking Viral Truth: As soon as the summer season arrives, the demand for cucumbers suddenly increases in railway stations, bus stands and markets. People consider it to be a healthy and cooling fruit and vegetable and eat it a lot, but a video going viral on social media has increased people’s concern. In the video, an elderly woman is seen dipping white cucumbers in water containing some chemical. The surprising thing is that after a few seconds the same cucumbers start looking completely green and fresh. After watching the video, people are angry on the internet and many users are saying that “Now you will have to think 100 times before buying cucumber in the train.”
What was shown in the video?
In the viral video, it can be clearly seen that an elderly woman is sitting near the station and has white cucumbers placed in front of her. She dips those cucumbers in some liquid present in a box. Then within a short time the same dull and old looking cucumbers suddenly start looking shiny green and absolutely fresh. The video has become increasingly viral on social media and people started raising serious questions about it. Many people say that if this is really happening then it is directly playing with people’s health.

Does such a chemical really exist?
According to food experts and reports, there have been reports of use of copper sulphate, textile dye or other harmful chemicals at some places to make vegetables and fruits look fresh. However, the substance used in the viral video has not been officially confirmed, so it would be wrong to say which chemical was in it. Experts believe that sometimes artificial colors or chemicals are used to make vegetables look more shiny and fresh. These things look attractive, but can be harmful for the body.

People’s anger erupted on social media
After the video went viral, people have expressed their displeasure on social media. One user wrote, “Now I feel scared before eating anything outside.” While another said, “People are playing with human health to earn money.” Some people have also demanded an investigation from the Railways and Food Safety Department, however, many users also said that the entire truth of the video should be revealed and no conclusion should be reached without investigation. But it is certain that this video has forced people to think that things which look fresh and green from outside, are not necessarily safe in reality.
