Former Australian opener David Warner has pleaded guilty to drunken driving. On Wednesday, his lawyer pleaded guilty to ‘middle range’ drink driving charges in a Sydney court. Now the sentence in this case will be pronounced on August 18. According to court documents, David Warner was driving a van. It is alleged that he stopped the vehicle just before a random breath testing site. After this the police conducted a breath test on him, arrested him and took him to the police station for questioning.

Warner did not reach the court

Sydney Thunder captain and former Australian cricketer David Warner was not present in the court during the hearing. On his behalf, lawyer Bobby Hill appeared in court and pleaded guilty. During the initial hearing of this case, Warner’s lawyer Bobby Hill had said, ‘Many of us take wrong decisions sometimes. The most important thing is that the person accepts his mistake and takes responsibility for it. It does not matter whether one is a labourer, a doctor or one of the best opening batsmen in the world, this danger is the same for everyone. Now the court will give the final verdict on David Warner’s punishment in this case on August 18.
